Anna Jonsson's research mainly focuses on two research areas; theories on knowledge sharing and internationalization theory. Knowing in Practice refers both to a research perspective for how to understand knowledge sharing and to the analytical method that Anna Jonsson apply.
There is a growing interest both among academics and practitioners for issues related to knowledge management especially in the endeavours of internationalization and increasing competition. By sharing knowledge both internally and externally increases the opportunities for both being innovative by exploring new opportunities and being cost-efficient by exploiting proven solutions to other parts of the organization. In order to better understand why some firms are more successful than others it is important to understand how knowledge is created and shared.
